Recently Gene was caught up by Jon Bream from Star Tribune after the sound check in Uncasville, Conn. Here some gems:
What did you learn from Donald Trump when you were on "Celebrity Apprentice"? "Donald learned a few things from me, if you don't mind me saying so."
About the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame :"Once you put Madonna and rap stars in it, it ain't rock 'n' roll. I don't want to see dancers onstage, I don't want to hear tapes or click tracks. That's a different form of music. Where I come from, that's called karaoke."

The first and only official website dedicated to all what’s about Giacomo Giga Gigantelli, one of the most known and appreciated “Paul Stanley” in Italy and abroad…

Giacomo debuted in 1981 with the Verona based metal band SPITFIRE with whom he recorded a single in 1984. In 1986 he moves to Bologna becoming the lead singer for the metal band Danger Zone with whom he will stay until 1992 after two American tours and an album produced in the USA in which he recorded a duet with Grace Jones. For over 10 years he is the best Paul Stanley around with one of the most successful Italian KISS Tribute Band, Juliet KISS. and in the Paul’s tribute Live 4 Win. In his recent participation at the Ultimate Guitar World Exhibition held in Bologna on May 15. Giacomo has been the lead singer for the Superstar House Band along with Neil Murray, Gregg Bissonette, Derek Sherinian, Stef Burns, Clara Moroni and Michele Luppi and he shared the stage with worldwide fame’s artists such as Yngwie Malmsteen, Glenn Hughes, George Lynch, Elias Viljanen and Timo Tolkki, just to name a few.

THE SUCCESS OF SONIC BOOM REPRESENTS A WELCOME TURN OF FORTUNES FOR KISS (By Alan Sculley Post-Tribune correspondent)
While KISS are destroying America with their huge and successfull Hottest Show on Hearth Tour, it's really cool to read still good review and comments on their latest (but not last!) album Sonic Boom. Here an excerpt:
The previous Kiss studio CD, "Psycho Circus," did little to prove that the band still had creative life in it. Now a little more than a year later, the verdict on "Sonic Boom" is in, and it's been positive, with some critics even saying it's the best CD from the band since early career albums like "Dressed To Kill" and "Destroyer."The success of "Sonic Boom" represents a welcome turn of fortunes for Kiss, whose future looked cloudy only a few years ago. KISS ADDS NEW DATE IN MEXICO

According to kissnews.de KISS will add an additional night in Mexico city on October 1st 2010. The South American leg of the 2010 tour appears to have now 4 dates:
28 September Monterrey
30 September Mexico city
01 October Mexico city
02 October Guadalajara

PAUL STANLEY:I WAS ADAMANT THAT PSYCHO CIRCUS WOULDN'T BE THE LAST KISS ALBUM
Paul Stanley recently spoke with Eric R. Danton from Ctnow.com about a few topics. here some exerpts. "I was adamant that Psycho Circus wouldn't be the last KISS album," he says. "If there had to be a last album, we should end on a higher note than that. It was difficult to make an album with two band members and two lawyers. Those lawyers didn't play instruments very well, and the guys who could have been in the studio weren't." This time, all four members were involved in writing songs for the album, which Stanley produced. They recorded quickly, keen on capturing the spark of early takes before the songs got rehearsed to death. More

Paul: "Sono sempre stato convinto che Psycho Circus non sarebbe stato l'ultimo album dei KISS. Se mai ci dovesse essere un ultimo album, avremmo dovuto finire con un ben altro lavoro. E' stato difficile incidere un album con due membri del gruppo e due avvocati. Quegli avvocati non suonavano tanto bene, e quelli avrebbereo dovuto essere in studio erano chissà dove." More

TOMMY THAYER:IT'S AN HONOUR TO BE DOING WHAT I'M DOING

Marko Syrjala from MetalRules.com recently posted an interview with Tommy done back when KISS was touring Europe, here few excerpts:

How does it feel to be the Spaceman nowadays?
“Laughs”, it always feels good to be the Spaceman. I like to tell people, I truly believe it’s an honor to be doing what I’m doing, I’m so fortunate to be in this position. I just try to do the best I can and I feel more confident every month and year that goes by.

So it’s getting better all the time?
Yeah, that’s natural, I mean especially with the release of SONIC BOOM it has definitely helped me make more my own stamp on things but still be very much part of KISS and sounding like KISS just the way it should be - things don’t happen overnight and good things take time and that’s what I feel like we are at and I feel good, very good. More

KISS TO RECORD VENUS AND MARS

Recently Gene Simmons talked to Nikki M. Mascali from the Weekender.

Among many old Gene's adagios he said that KISS was in L.A. to record “Venus and Mars” for an upcoming Paul McCartney tribute album.

He confirmed Paul's quote about a possible new album next year and he had sweet words on Eric Carr - It’s been nearly 19 years since Carr died of heart cancer, and Simmons said that the drummer, who was in Kiss from 1980 until his death in 1991, surely would have returned to reprise his Fox character after Criss left for good. “Sure, oh yeah,” Simmons said, his voice adopting a reverent tone. “He was a sweetheart and a hell of a drummer. He could write, he could sing. It was very tragic what happened to him, but I’ll tell you that Eric Singer carries on the tradition.” More

NEW ADDITIONS IN SETLIST SOON?

DeuceNews got word that soon KISS will add new songs from Sonic Boom in the setlist. Since the US leg of the Alive 35 Tour KISS rehearsed few songs they haven't played yet in concert, such as Never Enough, Russian Roulette and Danger Us. Also recently KISS rehearsed Never Enough (second single from Sonic Boom) at soundchecks...

DeuceNews ha ricevuto infomazioni che presto i KISS aggiungereanno altri pezzi tratti da Sonic Boom nella loro setlist. Sin da fine 2009 (durante l'Alive35 Tour negli USA) hanno provato alcuni pezzi che però fino ad oggi non sono stati ancora eseguiti in concerto, come Never Enough, Russian Roulette and Danger Us.
